Our Story
IN THE BEGINNING – 1992
Employment Innovations was created introducing workplace relations solutions (advice, advocacy, and registered training) to small businesses.
WHY DON’T YOU DO IT FOR US? – 2007
The creation of a fully outsourced workforce management solution, HR Initiatives (now Simployable), which employed at any one time over 6,000 workers on behalf of clients largely in the hospitality, retail, fast food and construction industries. Today hundreds of employers rely on EI to manage their people management, compliance & payroll needs end-to-end, as a professional employer organisation (PEO).
BRINGING EMPLOYEE REWARDS TO AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND – 2007
EI also acquired the license to distribute the Power2Motivate (P2M) reward and recognition program into the Asia-Pacific region.
PROVIDING BESPOKE VALUE TO CLIENTS – 2010
Started providing managed payroll services. Also established a new HR Practice to deliver HR consulting services.
DIGITAL DISRUPTION – 2013
And so, Employment Hero was born out of EI as Australia’s first all-in-one HR software and employee benefits platform. We disrupted our own business before we became the disrupted by putting our collective intellectual property into the cloud for more Australian businesses to access.
THE BREAK UP – 2016
Employment Hero, Power2Motivate and EI split to become standalone businesses to enable further investment and growth, although we remain very close partners.
BUNDLED SOLUTIONS – 2017
Over the years we have broadened our expertise across human resources, legal, migration, payroll and HR software. Making the shift away from a pay-per-product model to a subscription pricing model allows us to leverage economies of scale to deliver all of this value on-demand when you need it at a fraction of the cost of traditional service models.
